AK Surya Power Magic Pvt. Ltd., a Coimbatore-based start-up technology firm for Indian Agriculture, today launched a mobile app, ‘Gold Farm.’ The app offers all farm equipment on rental services.

The main objective of the product, according to the company, is to transform the lives of farmers through a single point agri-platform for all their farming needs. Gold Farm aims to work closely with the Centre and the equipment manufactures to make farm mechanisation affordable to small and marginal farmers, the director and co-founder of Gold Farm, Karthic Ravindranath, said in a press release.

In the first phase, Gold Farm will become functional in Karnataka, followed by other three states, and aims to aggregate 2,500 farm equipment in the next six months, he said. “Currently, we have aggregated additional 65 tractors and 50 farm equipment. This will be operational from August 16 in the districts of Kolar and Gadag in Karnataka,” he said.

The company claims that the app will directly benefit “more than six to eight lakh farmers in and around four states.” There are plans to expand the services to the northern states too, in the future.

Farmers can download the ‘Gold Farm’ app through the Playstore and book the tractors on their own, call the customer care number 78877 78877, or through the facilities of a nearby post office.
