This is one of a kind school in Coimbatore that trains students in archery, karate and yoga. Its founder Rajkapoor who is originally from Thiruthuraipoondi admits that it is sheer passion that has made him invest his time, efforts and savings in setting up this school. Shishi-Do Isshinryu Karate Dojo School is the dream come true for 28-year old Rajkapoor who runs this school that is located in Vellandipalayam.

Coimbatore lacks a school that is dedicated towards teaching students martial arts and archery. The plan for setting up this school started in 2009. Right from purchasing the land to deciding on the interiors to purchasing the equipment, Rajkapoor has worked on it all by himself. “It took three years and an investment of Rs. 60 lakh to build this place of 10,400 sq ft. On 11-11-11, this school was been formally inaugurated,” Rajkapoor says.

At his school he trains students in four different levels of archery. His youngest student is three years old while his oldest archery student is 57 years of age. Black belt holder in karate, Rajkapoor also trains students of all age groups in karate. While he charges a fees for teaching the two, yoga is taught free of cost to all. People are free to pay what they wish for his yoga classes.

The school also includes an equipment room and an in-house gymnasium.

Rajkapoor is enrolling students for archery, karate and yoga. Classes are organized on all days in the mornings and evenings. For information contact 82202-22244.
