Coimbatore : A petrol bomb was hurled at the house of a Hindu Munnani functionary in nearby Mettupalayam in the early hours of today. This resulted in partial damage to a car and a two-wheeler parked in the porch.
Dhanpal, who is a manager at a petrol bunk, noticed the top of car cover burnt and also partial damage to a two-wheeler, when he returned home in the morning after duty.

Police rushed to the spot and recovered a metal can, in which petrol was filled, and part of wicks. A special team has been formed to nab the miscreants.
It may be recalled that some miscreants hurled a petrol bomb on the house of BJP district president C R Nandakumar in the city a month ago,leading to damage to the car and police have yet to book the culprits.
