Residents hoist black flags atop houses demanding CMB

COIMBATORE: Black flags were hoisted atop about 50 houses in Madukkarai on the outskirts, seeking immediate formation of Cauvery Management Board.

Quoting the residents in the area, police said that as a first step, black flags were hoisted atop the house in Ayyappan Temple Street, to express solidarity to those agitating to get the rights of Tamil Nadu.

If the Centre failed to set up the Board, the agitation will be intensified by gathering people in the nearby areas, police said.
