Scolded by teacher for not studying well, teenager hangs self

A 13-year-old girl was found hanging in her house near Mettupalayam on Wednesday night, reportedly dejected over the scolding by her teacher.

According to police. Pavitra, an eighth grader and daughter of an estate worker, had informed her father a few days back that her teacher scolded her for her poor performance in academics.
Pavitra, who went into her room in the pretext of doing home work around 8 p.m. did not come out for long. On breaking open the door, her mother found the daughter hanging from the ceiling.

On information police, rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent it for postmortem,

The girl had reportedly told her mother on Wednesday that the teacher had again scolded for not studying well.
