A 15-feet wide ‘Selfie Spot’ made of 31,000 roses, is the major attraction at the 15th Rose Show, which began at Ooty today.
The 10-foot tall Spot at the Centenary Rose Garden, has a large pedestal for the enthusiasts to take selfies, which was well received by the visitors and tourists alike.
Other major attractions include dancing dolls (depicting the various abinayas of Bharatanatyam) designed by workers from Tirupur, Kanyakumari, Erode, Tirunelveli and Tiruchi districts covered with different types of roses and the shape of Mangoe made out of 2,000 yellow rose.
Agriculture Production Commissioner Gagandeep Singh Bedi inaugurated the three-day rose show in the presence of District Collector P. Shankar and several other officials.
