Siruthuli to use pet bottles for construction in Coimbatore

Coimbatore: City-based NGO Siruthuli has plans to reuse pet bottles for constructing a toilet on the Siruthuli Noyyal Life Centre campus on Sungam Bypass Road.
Siruthuli has started collecting pet bottles from various places in the city to construct the toilet for which it would need around 2000- 2400 pet bottles and the collection process would go till June 10.

Siruthuli had set up boxes in several places in the city. People can drop their bottles in these boxes at Brookefields, Annapoorna, Hari Bhavan, Anandhas, Gem Hospitals, Ortho One, GKNM, Ganga Hospitals and Karthi Polyclinic, said a Siruthuli member.
The bottles collected are to be filled with mud and soil before being used for construction. The organisation is in need of volunteers to fill mud in the bottles, and those interested could contact Siruthuli office.
