The one-man committee to probe the Somanur bus stand roof collapse would hold its sitting in Karumathampatti panchayat office on Friday.

The Government appointed senior IAS officer Gagandeep Singh Bedi to inquire into the entire episode leading to the collapse, which claimed five lives and injured 12 others on September 9.

The public are requested to depose before the commission either in person or through statements, an official communique said.

The committee has already asked the police and other agencies to provide the relevant documents with regard to the incident, a Government source said. The committee is likely to submit its report in another two months.
