Sports affiliation row: TBA recognizes CBA as the only affiliate

Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Badminton Association (TBA) has clarified that the Coimbatore Badminton Association (CBA) is the sole affiliate from the Coimbatore district.
In a letter to CBA secretary Swetha Krishnamurthy, the TBA president Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss said that the earlier association, with Shanti Rao as secretary, has been disaffiliated with immediate effect.
The decision to disaffiliate the earlier association was made by the executive committee and the annual general body of TBA, Anbumani said in a letter that was release to the press by Swetha today.
Earlier, Swetha, along with TBA vice president, T Maran, claimed at a press conference, that the committee formed by TBA had gone into the complaints from various quarters about the earlier association, before making the decision.
