State Level Five Day sportmeet at TNAU

Coimbatore : A total of 1,650 students from 36 constituent and affiliated colleges of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) located in various parts of the State will participate in the five day Inter Collegiate Tournament of Sports and games beginning here tomorrow.

Basketball, Volleyball, Cricket, Kabaddi, Shuttle and Ball badminton, Hockey, Football, Table tennis and Chess will be conducted for male students, while Basketball, Volleyball, Shuttle and Ball badminton, Kho-Kho and Table tennis will be held for girl students.

Teams will be awarded with winners and runners trophy.

Besides there will be 16 athletic events for boys and girls separately, where individual athletes will be awarded with medals.

The City Police Commissioner, K Periaiah will inaugurate the meet, where former Vice Chancellor, TNPSU (Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University), Chennai, Dr A M Moorthy will be the Guest of honour.
