Student kills roommate over cleaning room

A final year engineering student was arrested today for having murdered his classmate over cleaning the room which they shared in the city.
According to police sources, R Santhosh and S DInesh, both studying in a private college, were staying in a rented room near Airport.
Santosh had picked up quarrel over a minor issue of cleaning the
room last night. The friends used to take turns in cleaning the room every day. But despite telling him repeatedly the Dinesh refused to clean the room. Irked by his friend’s behaviour, Santosh stabbed Dinesh with a kitchen knife, resulting in multiple injuries all over the body.
The neighbours who heard the scream of the boy rushed to the room and managed to take
Dinesh to the Government Hospital where he was declared brought dead,
around midnight.
Based on a complaint, police registered a case of murder and
arrested Santhosh,
who was produced in a court and lodged at the Coimbatore Central Prison today,
they said.
