Around 25 students were arrested today when they attempted to stage demonstration near the railway station protesting against the National Education Policy, drafted by the Centre.
They raised slogans against the policy, and said it would deprive the rights of State governments in the field of education.
Accusing the Centre of trying to saffronise education, they said the Government was trying to impose hindutva in all the fields.
“The Government is adopting a Hindu Hindi India Policy,” they alleged.
