Students injured in cracker explosion recovering

All the five students, undergoing treatment in the Government Hospital for suffocation in yesterday’s cracker explosion, have responded well to the treatment and recovering fast.

The students, including two girls, were admitted to the hospital, after they fell unconscious inhaling smoke, following the explosion.

According to hospital sources, all the five were responding to the treatment and also fast recovering and possibly discharged late this evening.

The students of IAS Academy free coaching centre were trapped in the second floor of the building, where the explosion took place. Shaktivel, 23, died of suffocation.

Though the condition of one of the girls was serious, she also recovered well and all are stable now, sources added.
