Three persons, including two juveniles, arrested for robbery

Thanjavur: Three persons, including two juveniles, were arrested here for committing robbery at knifepoint.
Ramesh (20), a resident of Vadakku Vaasal, was standing near the MGR statue on Tuesday night when three persons demanded money from him to buy liquor. When he refused, they robbed Rs. 200 from him at knifepoint and took to their heels. As Ramesh raised an alarm, people in the area caught the trio and handed over them to police.
One of them was identified as Ayyappan (21) of West Street, Vadakku Vaasal while the other two were juveniles aged 17 and residents of East Street of the same area.
Based on a complaint, Thanjavur West Police registered a case and arrested the trio.
