Tamil Maanila Congress (TMC) President, G.K. Vasan today likened the AIADMK Government headed by Jayalalithaa to 50-50 biscuit, as there was 50 per cent achievement and 50 per cent non-achievement.

Replying to a specific question on the governance, Vasan told reporters that it had to achieve another 50 per cent in development to fulfil the aspirations of the people.

Responding to allegations by other parties that TMC was supporting AIADMK and may go with it in 2016 elections, Vasan said that his Party was criticising the Government where and when it was necessary.

With regard to alliance for the polls, it would be decided after the final leg of his tour of the State by December end, he said.

Stating that the people wanted a clean and transparent government, Vasan said that TMC would form an alliance according to the wishes of the people. The Party would definitely seek participation in the Government, if the alliance got a majority, he added.

To another question on a possible alliance with the Congress, which was considered
“a corrupt party”, Vasan said that almost all parties had corruption charges against them.
