Two minor brothers found dead under a river bridge in Tirupur

Coimbatore: Two minor siblings were found dead under a river bridge in nearby Tirupur on Monday morning.

The dead have been identified as 11-year old Mohammed Sameer and his brother Mohammed Zahir (7), who had gone for fishing in the Noyyal River Sunday evening, police said.

The parents had lodged a complaint that their minor sons, who had gone for fishing did not return home and search remained futile.

The bodies of the boys were found under the bridge Monday morning and sent for postmortem to the Tirupur Government Hospital.

Further investigations on, they said.
