Vellalore landfill greening campaign inaugurated

The Coimbatore Corporation would plant over 15,000 saplings at the Vellalore landfill as part of its greening campaign.
Inaugurating the campaign by planting a sapling in the presence of Siruthuli founder Vanitha Mohan, Corporation Commissioner Vijayakarthikeyan said the services of Rapid Action Force personnel have been roped in for the purpose. “The personnel will plant and maintain the saplings,” he said.
AF commandant R. Jeyakumar, Assistant Commandants Kuriacose, Anitha Devi and others were present.
