To support people who have been affected by communal violence and terrorist attacks, District Collector Archana Patnaik has exhorted the people of Coimbatore to buy stamp labels during the Communal Harmony Week to be commemorated between November 19 and 25 all over the country.
In a release, the Collector has asked people from all walks of life to donate money in exchange of stamp labels.
As a part of the commemoration, the District Administration would also be conducting various awareness activities, including cultural events, drawing competitions and rallies involving school children.
On November 24 will be commemorated as Flag Day. People can also voluntarily collect funds and send the money either as cash or Demand Draft to the Secretary, National Foundation of Communal Harmony in New Delhi.
