In a fatal case because of excessive intoxication, a 26 year old man was found dead behind a Tasmac outlet in Karumathampatti here on Saturday.

According to sources, the deceased, K.Suresh from Somanur was reportedly working as a lathe turner in Somanur. On Friday he was found drinking in the Tasmac outlet near Karumathampatti.

An addict for years, he was also reportedly unmarried. After drinking liquor in excess, the previous day, Suresh was reportedly found dead in a farmland behind the Tasmac outlet the next day.

A postmortem which was conducted at the Coimbatore Medical College also confirmed that the reason for the death was over intoxication. A case has been registered with Karumathampatty police in this regard.
