Digital de-aging is the technical jargon doing the rounds as the super star is shown in the flash back as he was in the 80s . The voice has also been de aged by using pitch shifting and format shifting. This technological wonder leaves the audience in a state of awe during the flash back scenes.
The director has apotheosized Rajnikanth as never before and has also succeeded in this. Though the scenes are as old as yonder, the way they are portrayed needs appreciation and the director reserves the credit for this.
Rajnikanth’s performance elevates the movie to a new standard. As is usual the super star’s towering screen presence overshadows everything.
The villain role played by Nagarjuna has been excellently crafted and will be counted as one of the best villains that a Rajni movie has ever fielded. Shoubin also leaves a lasting impression. Sathyaraj lives upto expectations and delivers his part neatly. Upendra and Aamir play cameos which raise the mood. Shruthi Hassan gets a meaty role and executes it with perfection.
Anirudh music is a real treat and
Powerhouse song will probably count as one of the best Rajni songs ever. Pooja Hegde is the cynosure of all eyes as she gyrates to the number- Monica.
Though reminiscent of the yesteryear blockbuster Basha this movie helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj is an action packed entertainer throughout.
