With Akshay Kumar and Aamir Khan taking strong steps against the filmmakers who have been accused of sexual harassment recently, Ajay Devgn, too, has decided to stand for any woman who has been wronged.

His statement came a few hours after an actress accused director Luv Ranjan of sexually harassing her during the test look of his 2011 film Pyaar Ka Punchnama.

The actress in an interview to a leading daily opened up on the nightmarish experience and said that the filmmaker asked her to strip to underwear as he wanted to see her body. She added that he also asked her personal questions like ‘Are you a virgin’ and ‘Do you masturbate’.

As soon as her interview went viral, Ajay Devgn, who is collaborating with Luv Ranjan for two projects – De De Pyaar De and an untitled film, clearly stated that if anyone has wronged any woman that he would not stand for it.

He wrote on Twitter, “I’m disturbed by all the happenings with regards to #MeToo. My company and I believe in providing women with utmost respect and safety. If anyone has wronged even a single woman, neither ADF [Ajay Devgn Films] nor I will stand for it.”

Meanwhile, Luv Ranjan has dismissed the allegations calling them absurd. “It’s so absurd that I don’t know what to say except that I deny it. I don’t know how to react to an anonymous allegation beyond this and am willing to face any legitimate enquiry,” he told the daily.
