It is safe to say that Kaakha Kaakha was the path-breaking movie for actor Suriya back in 2003. The film propelled Suriya into stardom. It is also rumoured that only during Kaakha Kaakha shooting Suriya and Jyothika fell deeply in love with each other.

Suriya’s Anbuselvan IPS and Jyothika’s Maya are one of the best onscreen couples of K-Town till date.

In additon to theat, even after 16 years, the film is still remembered for its innovative storytelling.Director Gautham Menon also rose to fame after the release of the movie.

Now, it is rumoured that Gautham Menon was approached by producer Kalaipuli Dhanu with a proposal for making a second part to Kaakha Kaakha.

Suriya and Jyothika will join hands for the film, according to the industry buzz. However, Gautham is currently busy with the post-production of Dhruva Natchithiram and Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta.

If things turn out right, Gautham might direct the second part of Kaakha Kaakha after wrapping up his current projects.

Music composer Harris Jayaraj, who made a hit album for the first part, will work on the second part as well.
