Vimal as Broker in his next

After wielding the megaphone for Torch Light, director Majith is now busy with his new project titled Broker. It was launched with a muhurat recently. The film will have Vimal and Diana Champika playing the lead pair. On the genre of Broker, we hear that it is a romantic comedy that centers on a young marriage broker, played by Vimal.
About the film, director Majith has been quoted by the silverscreen.in as saying, “The core theme is marriage and how arranged marriages can be a comedy of errors sometimes. So it will be thrilling and funny. There’s a lot of entertainment for the audience. The material for my last film was pretty dark. I wanted to do something different this time around and that’s why I thought of Broker. The film is an out and out comedy.” He went on to add, “We have a lot of plans to make sure that the finished product is as good as we want it to be. So that’s the challenge this time around.”
On roping in Vimal for the role, the director has said that he was apt for the character he has etched out for Broker. His comedy timing and sense of humour will play a big role in the making of the film, added the director. While Vimal and Diana play the lead pair in the film, those in the supporting roles include MS Bhaskar, Ravi Maria, and Sampath.
Majith’s debut in the film industry was with the Vijay starrer Thamizhan in 2002. This film also marked the debut of Bollywood diva Priyanka Chopra in the film industry. He had then directed films such as Kee Mu, Thunichal, Paisa and Torch Light.
Vimal currently has Kanni Rasi and Kalavaani 2 awaiting release.
