A joint team of Army’s 44 Rashtriya Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Special Operations Group (SOG) launched a cordon and search operation in Pulwama’s Lassipora on receiving credible inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area.

As the joint team approached towards the suspects, the hiding terrorists fired upon security forces.

Forces also recovered two AK rifles, an SLR and a pistol from the encounter site.

The identities of the terrorists are yet be ascertained.
