More than 100 horses have arrived in Udhagamandalam from Chennai to take part in the annual horse race.
The 131st horse race, that begins here at the Ooty Race Course on April 14 will go on till June. More horses are expected to arrive from Bengaluru, Mumbai and Kolkata.
New racing tracks in the grounds. Arrangements are being made for accommodating the jockeys and the horse trainers. Extra stables are also being put up for the horses.
Watch towers are being erected in and around the race course area.
