Vow to ditch plastic from the district, Collector urges students

District Collector Innocent Divya garlanded the statue of the first Collector of Nilgiris John Sullivan on his 164th death anniversary on Monday.

Distributing prizes and certificates to winners of essay writing and painting competitions conducted by Adi Dravidar Welfare Association at Kannerimukku near here, the Collector urged the student community and the general public to take a pledge to make Nilgiris a ‘plastic-free district.
