80 Cops Removed By Trichy DIG In Fallout Of Custodial Deaths

80 policemen across the Trichy police range have been identified as displaying violent and aggressive behaviour towards the public. These cops have been removed by the Trichy range DIG V Balakrishnan. In an interview with The Lede, the IPS officer speaks about why he has taken this decision in the aftermath of the custodial deaths of Jeyaraj and Benicks and explains that prevention is better than cure.
