Middleman Sukesh’s custody extended till Aug 31

A Judicial Magistrate court here today extended the custody of middleman Sukesh Chandrasekhar till August 31, involved in cheating a kitchen-equipment dealer in the city seven years ago.

Sukesh, lodged in Tihar jail in connection with Two Leaves election symbol case involving TTV Dinakaran, was brought here by Delhi police early today.

One Rajavelu had lodged a complaint that Sukesh had cheated him in 2010 of Rs 2.43 lakh on the promise of getting him a tender from Karnataka Government.

Charges under Section 420 were framed against Sukesh and his father on July 20. Sukesh was produced before Second Judicial Magistrate Rajkumar, who extended the custody till August 31.

Sukesh was taken back to Delhi by train amid tight security.
