Talking to reporters here, party chief Dr. K. Krishnasswamy, who lost his seat by a a margin of 493 votes, alleged that the officials were biased towards the AIADMK. “I was leading in the first 17 rounds by a comfortable margin. But suddenly they announced that I had lost,” he added.

Dr. Krishnaswamy, who was here to attend party meeting to discuss the election results, criticised the Election Commission for turning deaf ears “on money distribution.”

He alleged that the police, especially the intelligence, other officials including Thoothukudi Collector Ravi Kumar, were working for the AIADMK.
