The 3-day visit of BJP National President, Amit Shah in Tamil Nadu will change the political scenario in the State, Union Minister, Pon Radhakrishnan said today.

Shah is coming to the State on August 22 and during his three day stay, he will visit Chennai, Madurai and Coimbatore to discuss party affairs, Radhakrishnan told reporters here.

“There will be a political change after his visit. And not a change of government,” Radhakrishnan said without elaborating further.

On NEET exemption, he said that three-year exemption from NEET to Tamil Nadu will not augur well for the future of students of the State.

The students, particularly those hailing from rural areas, should be prepared to the international standards and exemption will be disadvantageous to their future career, Radhakrishnan said.

The Centre has taken the decision considering the future of nearly 90 per cent students, who have appeared through State Board, he said adding that the State Government should see to it that students, especially from rural areas, are on par with the students in other States and compete in entrance and eligibility tests at National level.
