Coimbatore : A two-day seafood festival is be held in the city from April 21, where around 75 varieties are to be served across the counters.
Around 1 tonne of different types of fish like shear, shark, prawns would be brought from Kerala and nearby places for the event happening for the first time in the city, N Rajan of Raj Melodies, the organisers, said.

There would be 50 stalls serving kongunadu, chettinadu and Kerala and Chinese recipes, besides two vegetarian counters at Hindustan College of Arts and Science, he said.
The entry fee is Rs100 and Rs30 worth of seafood preparation as a value-addition would be served, Rajan said. Besides food, there would be entertainment activities, in which popular TV anchors, Airtel super singers and other celebrities were expected to participate. The venue had a seating capacity of nearly 3,000, he added.
