Palakkad-Pollachi train on BG line from November 16

The first train on Palakkad Town – Pollachi broad gauge line will start from November 16.The trains will start at 4.30 a.m. from both Palakkad and Pollachi Junctions.

The broad gauge line was ready for regular train services after clearance by the Commissioner a fortnight ago, Railway Safety, a Southern Railway release said.

Train services will be extended over this section to be operated as special trains for the time being. There will not be any official function in this regard, it added.

Train Nos. 56713 / 56712 Tiruchchirappalli – Palakkad Town – Tiruchchirappalli passenger will run as Special Train Nos.06713 / 06712 between Palakkad Town and Pollachi.

Train Nos.16343 / 16344 Thiruvananthapuram – Palakkad Town – Thiruvananthapuram Amritha Express will run as Express Special Train Nos. 06343 / 06344 between Palakkad Town and Pollachi.

Train Nos.56770 / 56769 Tiruchendur – Palani – Tiruchendur Passenger, now running as special train between Palani and Pollachi, will continue to run as Special Train Nos.06770 / 06769 between Pollachi and Palakkad Town.
