“Youth will support Amma”: Sarathkumar

Taking a dig at the family politics of the DMK, actor-turned-politician and the chief of the Samathuva Makkal Katchi, Sarath Kumar, on Tuesday said he thought that the family members of Karunanidhi would have contested in all the 234 constituencies in Tamil Nadu.
Campaigning for Amman K. Arjun, AIADMK’s candidate from the Coimbatore South constituency, Sarath Kumar asked people from the Thiruchendur constituency to turn up and support him.
“No matter where you are, if you are a registered voter at the Thiruchendur constituency, kindly turn up and support me without fail,” he requested.
Claiming that the schemes of the state government have largely benefitted the people, he asked them to vote for the AIADMK in order to continue the welfare measures.
He also said that the 70 lakh-plus youth would certainly support the AIADMK, and also accused Vijayakanth of not possessing the qualities of a chief minister.
