Saritha Nair names ex DMK union minister in solar scam

In a revelation that drags Tamil Nadu into the controversy that is rocking Kerala politics, solar scam accused, Saritha Nair today said that a former DMK union minister had a role in the solar scam. She also said that the former Kerala chief minister, Ooman Chandy was the main accused.

Stepping out of the court in Coimbatore, where she appeared in a connection with a cheating case of solar panel supply, Saritha alleged that the DMK’s former Union Minister of State, Palanimanickam, was involved in the solar scam-related cases. Talking to reporters, she said that she had submitted relevant evidences against Palanimanickam to the one-man commission which is looking into the case. She made this revelation when reporters asked her if any politician from Tamil Nadu was involved in the scam.

Claiming that Oomen Chandy had brought in the investors to the project, which proved his involvement, Saritha said that since he had 90 per cent role in the scam, she will see to it he gets punished.

Saritha accused Chandy of swindling the money belonging to her, and shifting the blame for the scam entirely on her. She said that all the evidences are with the commission, which is expected to submit the report in one month.
