Former Minister and AIADMK (Puratchithalaivi Amma) MLA, Ma Foi Pandiarajan today denied reports that MLAs owing allegiance to former Chief Minister O. Paneerselvam (OPS) were moving away and joining any other camp.
“It is a rumour. There is no truth in the reports that MLAs are moving towards Edappadi Palaniswami camp,” Pandiarajan told reporters here.

When asked about four MLAs walking out of the Assembly over the cow slaughter issue, he said that this clearly showed that they were against the Government, that failed to take serious note of the issue (ban on sale of cow for slaughter).

Pandiarajan said that support for OPS was increasing day by day, which will be known after the civic polls. “We are also sure to retrieve the Two Leaves symbol,” he said.

On supporting the BJP’s presidential candidate, Pandiarajan said the issue would be discussed and decided in the party forum.

Those who were opposing the GST had not understood it fully and State was expected to get an additional revenue of rs.4,000 crore through GST, he said.
