Avinashilingam University for Women, Faculty of Engineering will conduct a six-week technical entrepreneurship development programme on ‘Processing and Value-Addition of Fruits and Vegetable Products’.
The programme will be held at the department of food processing and preservation technology from September 12 to October 21, said a university statement.
Candidates between 18 and 40 years and with a degree or diploma in technology, science and arts are eligible to attend the training. The course content includes orientation and industrial training, industrial visits and market survey followed by entrepreneurship and schemes of financial assistance in the government and private sectors, project selection and feasibility, consolidation of business ideas, soft skill development, project report preparation and management aspects. Certificates will be issued at the end of the training programme which are valid for availing of bank loans for entrepreneurship.
