An unidentified thief has stolen 9 sovereigns of gold by breaking into a house here on Tuesday.
According to sources, R. Gunabalan (51) is a resident of Poombugar Nagar in Coimbatore. On the day of the theft, Gunabalan and his family had gone out for vacation. An unidentified person had broken into his house and had stolen 9 sovereigns of gold.
Since nobody was present in the area, he left unnoticed.
A case has been registered with the Peelamedu police and investigations are on.
