BACAS students win photography contest

Abhijit P and Moses besides being best pals in college also share a common thirst for photography. The second year Visual Communication students of Bishop Appasamy College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore have won laurels during the photography competition on the special occasion of ‘World Tourism Day’ conducted by Department of Tourism and Travel Management, Government Arts College, Coimbatore, in association with Government of Tamil Nadu and Cox & Kings Ltd.

Among various themes like Wildlife of Niligirs, Rural Coimbatore and Tourists spots in Coimbatore, Abhijit P won the first prize for Rural Coimbatore and Moses won the third prize for Wildlife of Niligirs. In another competition category for Painting on Rural Coimbatore, Ezekiah Francis, a first year Visual Communication student won the second place. All were awarded by District Collector Archana Patnayak.

“All of us in the Department are happy and proud that our students have won prizes,” M.S. Bexci, Assistant Professor, Department of Visual Communication, Bishop Appasamy College of Arts and Science, said.
