The Kerala unit of BJP removed State unit Secretary V.V. Rajesh and Yuvamorcha State General Secretary Praful Krishna from their posts.
While Rajesh has allegedly leaked a party report about the medical college scam to the media, Krishna had shared information on fake party receipts that were allegedly used for fund collection during the party’s national executive committee meeting at Kozhikode.
Disclosing this to mediapersons on Thursday, BJP State unit chief Kummaanan Rajashekharan said the party would take against more party leaders said to be involved in the medical college scam.
“They (leaders) should realise that without the party tag they are nothing but a big zero. Once they are out of official posts, nobody will give them importance. Indiscipline will not be tolerated,” Rajashekharan added.
Two months back the party had expelled one of its leaders over bribery charges. A party probe found that the leader, R.S. Vinod, had taken Rs. 5.6 crore bribe from a private medical college in Thiruvananthapuram in exchange for accreditation from the Medical Council of India.
