The Chief Education Office and schools have collaborated with each other and decided to send SSLC results through SMS this year.

This was done with an intention to reduce the pressure from students’ minds. To add to this announcement, the Government has also decided not to announce the toppers.

They have issued strict instructions to schools to follow and not keep a flex of rank holders as done usually . Keeping this a private affair, the Tamil Nadu Government has enabled an online facility where the students can check their results, through the website: tnresults.nic.in.

Nevertheless, Headmistress Mr. Selvarani R of Sri Avinashilingam Girls High School expects that, like last year, her students would get 100 percentage this time around as well. “”We got centum for past three years. This year also we are expecting it”, she beams.

Officials say that approximately 4.57 lakh students appeared for the exam this academic year, in Coimbatore and reports claim 92.9 pass percentage in the State. They also added that Coimbatore was ranked 9th in the state last time but this time they are expecting a higher position.
