Coimbatore : Two persons today submitted a petition to the West Zone Inspector General of Police against AIADMK Erode Candidate, G Manimaran for allegedly cheating them of Rs 50,000.

According to police, Kumaravel of Erode and Shaktivel from the city alleged that they had given money to register a land in their name in Kangeyam.

However, they alleged that Manimaran misused the money and registered land in some one else’s name and threatened them of dire consequences if they lodged any complaint against him.

The complainants also said that Kangeyam police failed to take any action against Manimaran and sought the intervention of West Zone IG to get justice for them, police said.
