The Covai Post turns one and we are all set to celebrate the occasion with a spectacular T-10 cricket tournament in Coimbatore next month.

T-10 is a ten-overs cricket tournament. The registration fee for each team is Rs.2,000 and 13 members are allowed per team. Teams from Corporation Schools are however exempted from paying any registration fees and this would be part of Covai Post’s social responsibility towards the cause of the underprivileged students in Coimbatore. For the first time, women too will be participating in the series.

The knock-out matches will start from July 2, at the Ramakrishna Vidyalaya Grounds in Periyanaickenpalayam. The finals will be held at the Shastri Grounds in R.S. Puram on July 17. The winning team will take home a grand cash prize of Rs.1 lakh, while the runner up will win Rs.50,000.

The team behind the movie, ‘Kolanji,’ including director Naveen, actors Rajaj, Sendrayan, and Sangavi, are the special invitees for the finals, while the other guests would give away the prizes.
