Hundreds of students of the Stanes Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School participated in the 131st cross country race here today.
Organised by the school, the race was flagged off by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (traffic), R. Sivakumar. The principal, Benjamin, and CAO of Robert Stanes Institutions V.M. John were present.
The race, that began from the C-2 police station, terminated at the school. The students all from grade five and above participated in the event. “This is the first time grade five students are participating,” the principal remarked.
The first three runners – both in boys and girls category – from the equity, ICSE, CBSE and junior sections were presented with prizes.
