Elysium property developer breaks silence on allegations

What started off as a cordial relationship between property developer Elysium Properties India (P) Ltd and its clients that include the upper middle class and the elite has turned bitter and it shows no signs of coming to an end. This is in regards to their project Flushing Meadows. A statement from this builder stated that the gated community in Coimbatore courtesy Elysium Properties that includes 123 villas. A few of its clients have accused this property developer of using sub-standard materials to construct this project. However, the company has denied the allegations.

Construction of Flushing Meadows project began in 2011 in three phases and the last phase was completed in 2014. This property was handed over to owners. However, a couple of days ago, the property owners of this gated community dumped what they claim to be sub-standard materials used in construction of Flushing Meadows. In response to this, representatives from Elysium Properties stated that that this incident is to attract negative publicity for Elysium Properties and are baseless.

“The present Flushing Meadows House Owners Association is not legitimate since it has a self appointed President of the association. G. K. Nagaraj, Convenor, Kongunadu Jananayaga Katchi has not been handed over possession of his property since he has not paid the committed amount. Thus, automatically he is not a member of the association in the first place, leave alone being the President,” Krishnan , Director , Elysium Properties said. It is learnt that a case has been filed against two of this companies clients for non-payment of the promised sum.

Addressing the media, their representatives along with their lawyer from Chennai this representative also stated that “Elysium Properties has initiated legal action against Nagaraj and G. Vijayakumar who also owes the company money. The two wanted us to drop all legal cases against them but without paying their arrears.” the representative stated.
