Free eye care for Corporation school students, newborns

Students of the Coimbatore City Corporation schools can now get excellent eye care thanks to a newly signed agreement with the Sankara Eye Care Centre.

According to the agreement signed by the Coimbatore city Mayor, P. Rajkumar and S.V. Balasubramanian, Chairman of Sankara Eye Care Centre, free eye care, treatment, and spectacles (if required) will be provided to the students of the corporation schools.

The agreement will also cover newborns and their mothers. The announcement was made by Coimbatore Mayor, P. Rajkumar. Coimbatore Corporation covers 83 schools, with more than 23,000 students, 20 maternity homes and 11 general hospitals.
