Sundaram father-in-law of Tamil Nadu Health Minister was today sentenced to undergo three years imprisonment in a forgery case from 16 year ago.

The prosecution case was that Sundaram along with his brother Dhanapalan had cheated his other sibling Duraisamy and registered a commercial complex in the city in their names.

After learning that he was not getting monthly income from the complex he lodged a complaint to the police who registered a case in 2001. The case was going on in Judicial Magistrate court at Coimbatore since 2003. In his judgment the Magistrate found both Sundaram and Dhanpalan guilty and sentenced them for three years imprisonment and imposed penalty of Rs 20,000 each.

However the father-in-law of the Health Minister has apparently got a bail after paying a sum of Rs 20,000.
