PMK’s chief ministerial candidate, Anbumani Ramdoss, on Sunday, asked people who wanted freebies to not vote for him as his party will not be providing freebies once it comes to power.
Campaigning for the candidates of the PMK alliance in Coimbatore, Anbumani said that it was liquor and freebies that have spoiled Tamil Nadu. “Both the AIADMK and the DMK used liquor and freebies to lure people over the past fifty years. But now, things have changed and people want a change,” he said.
Claiming that the DMK has copied 40 per cent PMK’s manifesto, Anbumani said that the Dravidian parties have not announced any new schemes to the state. “The schemes we have introduced are focussed on Prohibition, free education, hygiene, eradication of corruption, and providing a transparent government, which would also be a computerised set up,” he said.
Accusing the leaders of the AIADMK and the DMK of ruining Tamil Nadu, Anbumani also added that other leaders including Vijayakanth, do not have the potential to provide a government, which will be helpful for the people.
Anbumani also added that his government will divide the state into zones in order to make administration more effective.
