Missing man’s trampled body recovered

The body of a 35-year-old man, who was reported missing since yesterday, was found today in Sugunapuram on the outskirts. The body showed signs of being trampled to death by elephant.

Abdul Khader, a painter by profession, had gone out last evening and did not return home. Based on the information by his wife, friends and associates started searching for him. That was when passersby found a body lying among the bushes at Manjupallam, some distance from Sugunapuram. The police found elephant footprints near the body.

The wife and relatives identified the body as that of Abdul Khader’s. Investigations are on.
