Tamil movie ‘Appa’ was recently released in cinema theatres in Coimbatore. Its writer, director, and producer Samuthirakani was in Coimbatore today, to interact with the fans.
As part of the promo, he visited two theatres in the city where ‘Appa’ is currently being screened. While talking to the media, Samuthirakani said, “I’m happy to be in Coimbatore. ‘Appa’ has received positive response from the crowd here.”
Samuthirakani revealed that ‘Appa’ was based on his own experiences while choosing a school for his son. When asked if he intends to produce and direct more films, Samuthirakani replied, “I’ll make plans for future films depending on how ‘Appa’ performs at the box office.”
Overwhelmed by the warm welcome accorded by the Coimbatore audience, Samuthirakani assured his fans that he will henceforth visit the city during all his film releases.
Ilaiyaraaja had composed music for ‘Appa.’ The film stars Samuthirakani, Thambi Ramaiah, Namo Narayana, and Vinodhini.
