NGO Ultra Service Charitable Trust celebrates third anniversary

Ultra Service Charitable Trust celebrated its third anniversary with children from various orphanage homes in Coimbatore. Various competitions like drawing, essay writing, elocution, dance and drama were organised for the inmates of the orphanage homes. About 800 inmates from 11 orphanage homes city participated in these competitions.

The NGO has been working towards implementing projects that help and support the various needs of children who are inmates of the various orphanage homes in Coimbatore city.

Apart from this, the Ultra Service Charitable Trust is active in promoting blood donation. “We have a database of about 2,500 volunteers. So far through the Trust has arranged blood for more than 5,000,” says 22-year old S. Murlidharan, one of the Trustees of Ultra Service Charitable Trust.

This NGO was founded by Rahul D. with a strength of 25, a majority of them being students. Now there are nearly a 100 people as members and 70 per cent of them are doing their higher education and 30 per cent are professionals working in Coimbatore.

A majority of the funding comes from the members of this Trust. Students who are also members of Ultra Service Charitable Trust set aside a small amount of their pocket money every month for the Trust. The working professionals too contribute generously. About 1,000 students from various colleges in the city are active volunteers of Ultra Service Charitable Trust.
